II Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
When we are facing difficult times in our lives we automatically think to ourselves “I am not able to do this”… “I am not able to handle this”… “I am not able to change this”. II Corinthians 9:8 reminds us that He is able!!! We easily forget that we don’t have to do it, handle it or change it all by ourselves. Give it to him and know that he is able to handle it.
Dear Lord, help us to not forget that we don’t have to do this alone. Our strength alone is not strong enough to face hard times that come our way but it’s your strength we need to get us through it. You are strong and we are weak. You are able to handle the situation and I am not. I am so glad to have a God that IS ABLE to handle ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that comes my way!!!
This is something I struggle with all the time. I'm so independent that I want to do it myself and I forget so often that I don't have to do everything myself. God wants to "handle it" for me. It seems that sometimes He brings situations along that He knows I will not be able to handle on my own, just so that He can show me just what He can do. It's such a comfort knowing that whatever comes my way that He is WELL able to take care of it. There's nothing too big or too small for MY GOD! Sometimes I forget that HE cares about the little everyday things, too.
